Into the wind:

When roll casting into the wind tilt the whole cast forwards so that the line rolls over the water, casting with a narrow loop. Often a short haul helps (discussed later). In strong winds the powerful side cast (last of the variations - above) is particularly useful.

With the wind:

Tilt the forward casting stroke backwards so that the forward cast travels upwards. Throw an open loop.
