Visitors....

A busy week has ended for me. Last Saturday the new president of Scientific Anglers, and good friend of mine for years, arrived in Bozeman for meetings and some fishing. Then the SA sales and product development teams arrived, and our European sales team, and a surprise visitor, lots of folks....

Meetings mixed with fishing, my kind of "work". Very productive, the future for SA is very bright after too many years of being owned by a big company that just didn't get it. Good people, just didn't understand our weird little sport and industry.

Fishing was good. We had cool, windy, rain/snow the first few days with lots of midges and BWOs out and fish rising. Then yesterday summer arrived, 75F, bright sun, and wind. Fishing wasn't as good as the previous 5 days, but the weather was glorious. Well, it was once the wind died from 40 mph to a more manageable 15-20..

I was pleasantly surpised early in the week with a note from dear friend Charles Jardine, who was in the area for some shows. He joined us for breakfast and some fishing late in the day. He arrived at the Madison just as BWOs were starting to hatch and he put on a dry fly fishing show, a very talented angler and delightful human being.

A very enjoyable week, but I'm glad things are back to normal now Montana is quiet again! Sorry for no photos of the actual fishing this week. For some reason the infuriating "images manager" won't let me download photos, again.... If we ever get that figured out, I'll include some in a future FP.
