We have been waiting snow, we had some but 3 cm/ one inch doesn't really count on this time of winter. Our high season is just behind corner as shortest day of the year. We live from snow in winter. We have spent hours to built trails with little snow and have manage all to way.
Saturday is shortest day, about 2 hours 20 minutes daylight. In summer when we have 24 hours daylight, which is exact 6 months from now, people says that summer is over after that day. Nobody says after shortest day that winter is over. Funny how people behaves.
Anyway on Thursday it started to snow and it snowed about 20 cm and more to come on Friday, if it comes as forecast we will habe snow about 40 cm on Saturday morning. That means lotnof snowwork but also great for trails and reindeers.
Last Friday we had bbq event with our friends, long night, good food and some drinks. I faced new issue about my fishing plans. As you might know my plan was to return Malaysia in April, yet lot of extra expenses during summer, I had to postponed it.
We have spoke with Satu about going Mongolia 2026. Last Friday I was told that one of our friend, which I knew was from Argentina, is in fact from Patagonia. He showed some amazing photos from his area, beautiful river with nice trouts and rainbow trouts. Rio Gallego have been Patagonia for me and it is expensive one, now my friend showed other option which is very tempting.
Year 2025 will be short trips for sure, Sweden if lucky something in Europe. What about 2026, could it be both Mongolia and Patagonia, I should have Malaysia one more time and saltwater fishing is tempting also. As I'm getting older, easy fishing is not what I'm looking for. I'm looking for great fishing, great company, putting myself to edge of my skills.
Struggle is real. Where to go and which order. More you discover and learn more great places you find. So many unfished spots and places, so little time. Struggle is real.
Have a nice weekend and Merry Christmas
