I counted yesterday that Lee is currently building 9 Sexyloops custom finished rods, as well as a replacement tip for a HT4 and a replacement section for a Comp 5 – both destined for Australia. That’s going to take us a few weeks to clear. A huge problem at the moment, is that the Post Office has been hit by a cyber attack and isn’t accepting international parcels. We are currently figuring a way around this problem and we should have a couple of these rods sent today (if they weren’t already sent yesterday). We have a few standard rods in stock in the UK, as well as an HT4 here in Malaysia (at least that one is easy to ship!).
It’s good to be busy but a pain about the post office (I’m sure it’s an even bigger pain for them).
We are expecting a really great year this year. I have two new prototypes being build at the moment. And later this year I’ll fully stock our rod builder in Spain for EU orders, which have been a problem ever since Brexit. Sticking rods down trouser legs can only work for so long!
I’m busy on the Zoom front and will start guiding again next month. What with filming the next season of the TV show, guiding, rod sales, Sexyloops25 and Zoom lessons, I’m almost going to feel that I’m working this year. What a frightening prospect. I’d lie down now but I have a Zoom lesson to give in 10 minutes.
Most people are thinking about early retirement when they get to my age. I have no such intentions! I had my retirement years through my 20s and 30s. My 40s weren’t too busy either. :))) Of course I still have to fish every day.
Hope you’re having a great week! Wheelbarrow Nick and I will be doing something different in this slot next week.
Cheers, Paul
