Rock'n'Roll

Rock'n'Roll

People hook fish and they yell rock’n’roll. I have never get it. Or maybe somehow I understand it, when you have big fish it is like rock and roll but…. still I would say it it more like tango. Your partner is fish, you can’t force it but you have to seduce like in tango. Of course in some point it will be like rock but with that you never net fish in the end. But I started to think otherway.

There is only one radio channel I’m listening, well two but other one is not working in here. Channel is Radio City, it has been establish 30.4.1985. I found channel few years ago but it is just what I want to hear. When I leave from home, I have headphones and there is that channel. I listen it all day. If I’m driving a car that channel is on. Radio City is only channel which is programmed to radio in tractor. I think you got the point.

This genre I found around 1985, I was 11 years. First my favourite was K.I.S.S, then came Mötley Crue, ZZTop, ACDC, Metallica, Iron Maiden etc. Now it doesn’t matter as long is rock music. It doesn’t matter what genre it is, any music can be good….. as long there is drummer, basist, guitarist and it is rock.

Now you are thinking what a fuck, this is anything about fishing. You couldn’t be more wrong. Rock music has the most songs about fishing. ACDC has Troutseeker, Highway to fishing, Back in fishing, You can’t stop fishing, Fishing ain’t bad place to be and many more. And other bands have also. What I really mean is the rhytm.

Today I was listening Volbeat (if you don’t know this band, check it out). Their sound is like river floating. There is heavy rapid and then slower part and getting calm just before river is getting rough again. When listening some songs I could even imagine where I was sitting or fishing. For me it is also good mood rock, it doesn’t matter how shitty day I might had have, Volbeat will chance it. For example they have Still counting, It goes like this: “Counting all the assholes in the room
Well I'm definitely not alone, well I'm not alone
You're a liar, you're a cheater, you're fool
Well that's just like me yoohoo and I know you too” etc

Maybe that is why people yell rock’n’roll instead fish on. Rock music is like river, rough and passionate.

There is one song you can’t deny that it is not about fishing. It is Eric Clapton’s Layla, just replace Layla by your favorite river and macig will happen. Originally it is Persian poem, where man in love will lost his mind. It is just like fishing. And I like it.

Have a nice weekend
