Things heated up fast here in north. A week ago water temperatures were 12-14 celsius and now they are 20-21 celsius. Waters warmed up much faster than I thought, probably because nights were also warm. We have had fully sun shine and air temperature 24-29 celsius in shadow.
I was sitting hottest days in tractor or making repairs on machines. Now first round is done and time to take a breathe. I was hoping for going Sweden for short trip during weekend and early next week. Then I realize that I have guiding on Tuesday. I was badly upset about my plans going trash. I got news yesterday from Sweden that rivers are closed from fishing because high water temperature so I will survive from this.
I have seen few discussions about nymphing during past two weeks. Some say that it is not fly fishing as it doesn't require any casting skills. That is not totally true, yet I see the point. This issue came first on my mind two weeks ago when I was asked to guide French people and their original guide told that they have been nymphing mostly. As I was told that they can't set up rods, flies etc or cast much.
To be honest it tells more about guide than guests. But that's all about it.
Anyway that made think about nymphing and comparing it for something totally different. Now it is totally possible that censored will find from this point. And I'm sure Satu won't be happy about what's coming, if she reads this.
Nymphing is masturbation. I said what I said. And we all know that's truth. Nymphing is fly fishing as you imitate insects, no really casting skill required. Fishing technique you need to have with basic understanding fish behaviour etc. Just like masturbation, you need to have basic understanding what to do, watch some porn and get job done. As in nymphing get job done easiest way to catch fish. I'm pretty sure that none of us have felt proud after masturbation, same like with nymphing especially if you have use squirmy.
Imagine spending time to attract your partner, foreplay and then having sex. Nobody will be like, ou that was dirty. You are relaxed, made some effort and job done. That's what you do when really are fly fishing. You need casting skills, understanding to read water, insects and so on. When you fool even smaller fish with dry fly it is different feeling than having same result with nymphing.
In Finland we have saying siitä puhe mistä puute. It means that you talk about what we are talking about we are lack of. So obviously I have lack of fishing and sex, yet during summer we fish and have sex, during winter we fish less. Still nymphing is masturbation, I said what I said.
