First up… Our lumilines have arrived in the UK. We have 65 of these. Something like 35 are now accounted for, which leaves 30. I do not know when we will have stock of these again, perhaps never. I expect to have them all sold in the next week, so if you want one or more then please email me!!!
They are ~100ft true to weight intermediate DT6s. Intermediate because they glow longer. They are fantastic intermediate lines for trout. But where they really shine (ha!), is for casting training and fun. Glow them up with a UV lamp and you will have hours/months/decades of flycasting entertainment. They hold a bright charge for about 20 minutes, then spool in and out again, under the UV lamp and continue casting.
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, one of the reasons I’m the caster that I am today (drop your pants/very exciting) is because of these glow-in-the-dark lines. Go somewhere dark (away from street lights and no moon) and ALL you will see are loops. Truly: highly recommended. Buy two and you can reenact Star Wars.
We also have a number of plastic spools left from years ago when those were the thing. We will send out a plastic spool with each line, while we have stock of them. We were never a believer in packaging you throw away, but they are useful to have, particularly now that SA are selling lines on cardboard spools. There is no cardboard box packaging with these lines. So you are buying the line only and we will send a free spool while we still have them.
Cost is 100USD per line. Including shipping!! (Thank me later!). They are manufactured by RIO and are damned fine lines. They have a braid core.
Your money will go towards the new Sexyloops website, which is being built at the moment. I’m very excited about that. And so it goes to a great cause! Actually it goes to a flyfisherman/website builder in the USA. More on this dude later.
Also… today has a Lunker video and Tim’s fish. Next week I’ll start adding videos to the Flycasting Video Manual. It’s all go around here!! I’m pretty flat out with casting lessons too, especially now that the US is coming into summer time. I can take on 1-2 more students. Email me for more details.
Almost everyone rebooks, so these places don’t come up too often!
Lee is finishing off his last few Hot Torpedo rods in the production line and then all our HT stock heads over to northern Spain. The Hot Torpedo transmogrifies into the Hot Tortuga. “Tortuga” in Spanish means “hot stuff” so Hot Tortuga means “hot hot stuff”.
I hope you are well and having a fantastic week!
Cheers, Paul
