How to tie... a articulated pike streamer

How to tie... a articulated pike streamer

Daniela Misteli | Sunday, 4 February 2018

Step by step pike streamer with awesome movement for Stillwater. Maybe you remember my perch streamer with the small plastic disc, so that's the bigger version for pike. The cool thing about that fly is that the big head brings a lot of movement into the streamer. And the synthetic fibers keep the fly light and alive. So that's the way how to tie it:

First you need a shank, or take one cut it in halv so you have 2 shanks in stead of one. You can also just cut off a hook.

Tie in some craft fur:
2

wrap it to give a body

3

Add some spey or marabou fibers for the cool look
4

tie in the head
5

add the disc behind the fibers
6
Bend back and add some UV resin
7
add the back part with hook wire or just normal wire to the next hook
8
add again some craft furbody

9

and again some spey or marabou
10

and fill it up until the end of the body
11

And again the disc behind the craft fur head
12

bend it back and harden the VU glue
13

Here you go!

The back part will give the nice movement in the water

of course you can tie them in a lot of colors :)
