We are suffocating here. We have a war with Russia in Europe. Multiple front wars in the Middle East. Artificial Intelligence has a 20% chance of wiping out human existence within 10 years, and a 100% chance of destroying what’s left of humanity. We have global warming threatening to turn Earth into Venus Two. And a US government changing the World Order so that bullies can screw everyone else with impunity. It’s complete chaos down here.
But the good news is that the Sexyloops Tornado fly rod, hand-built in Texas, will make you cast better and catch more fish.
Whatever happened to Free Love and Peace for all Mankind? Ah yes it became “woke”. Woke like a tiger? Maybe it’s woke meaning equality for all people, irrespective of colour, sex, education or intelligence? Maybe woke means awake? It’s a strange new word. My favourite word though is cunt!
Extraordinary whippings on the Sexyloops Tornado, which come as standard, with the absolute minimum amount of varnish, so that you truly have a weapon of a fly rod in your hand at all times. It’s sexy too!
We are in a muddle. Human evolution is directionless. We don’t know where we are going. There is no route to Utopia or even what it looks like when we are there. Personally I think we may have passed it. Or at least we were pretty close and then took a wrong turn at a roundabout.
Anyway just some thoughts I was having here last night in the jungle. We really are in a predicament. Decisions are being made by a few people, some of whom really couldn’t think their way out of a paper bag.
I’ve always sort of seen myself as living outside of society. 20 years travelling. 10 years living in the jungle. No children. No 9-5. Little or no responsibilities. But if the world truly unravels it affects us all.
And it’s surprising, to me anyway, how quickly it can unravel. I really think a lot of that is social media and the way algorithms have polarised society. Overpopulation is another root cause. And it’s not like we don’t have a history of conflict and world wars. So maybe it’s just who we are. And that really is frightening. Maybe we can never be free because we are the cage.
So that’s all very positive. I do hope things get better. Have a nice week and go fishing!
