The move to building rods in Spain has certainly been a complicated road! You may have noticed the distinct lack of marketing in these past months, half year really, and that’s because I really don’t want a waiting list of 150 upset customers. Fortunately we are getting very close now to catching up. We have been delivering rods of course. For anyone who has experienced a particularly long wait then I am giving two Zoom Casting sessions to get to know each other, instead of the usual one. And of course, you might be lucky and win the two week fishing holiday with me on a desert island!
Our new website is looking great. I was chatting with our developer this morning. A very knowledgeable chap and of course another fly fisherman! I think we are close to launching now. A few things left to tidy up and sexyloopsify. And then there will be the huge task of importing the first 15 years of Sexyloops and commenting on it, as well as the last ten years of Sexyloops Front Pages. Yes this is a very big job!
I had a chat with Dave Stewart (no relation to WC Stewart… or maybe?) for his Wet Fly Swing Podcast which has gone live this week. I haven’t listened to it myself yet, but I was there. We certainly discussed a broad range of topics.

At the end of the show Dave always asks the interviewee to recommend some other anglers who might be a good fit. I suggested Wild Bill Gammel and Stuntman Ronan. I had a nice chat with Bill this morning actually. We must plan a Zoom call.
So I’m back on the boat. Might go for a swim, chill out and then nail a snakehead or two. Life on the edge.
