Fly Fishing Every Day

Fly Fishing Every Day

Bernd Ziesche | Wednesday, 1 June 2016

These days I am extremely busy running from one fly fishing trip into the next one. And you know what, it couldn't be any better!?

Last week we were fly fishing for Atlantic salmon and Sea trout at the Skjern river in Denmark. On Saturday we visited the Skjern Salmon Fishing Festival, while on Sunday we demoed fly casting at the Dutch Flyfair. Inbetween we were fishing 2 hours for asp Saturday evening in Germany - having a break on our way to the Netherlands. On Monday we were back fly fishing for carp in south Germany while today the season for pike perch starts in north Germany. On Saturday I will be gone for a weekly trip to the Mörrum river in Sweden.

Yes, that is what a perfect life is to me. I am really glad my girl friend loves to fly fish either and not only keeps up with me but is happy fly fishing a lot as well - even in such busy days. I am a very happy man! Looking forward to see her catching her first pike perch, maybe today?
Last week I again was very lucky to have succesfully released the (yet) biggest and maybe most beautiful looking Sea trout of the current Skjern river season. Right now my good friend Florian called me. He just landed a similiar Sea trout in a German river. Flo, you are the man. I can feel your passion all over - fantastic, mate!

Well, what else can I say!?
Whatever direction your way may go - I wish all of you to be happy either!

All my best
Bernd

P.s.: Congrats to Tellis and his superb Swedish fly casting team to have come up with such great results at their national shootouts. They will be hard to beat in the world championships in Tallin in August! ;)
