I missed last week's FP. Well I did remember it on Friday morning, I just had to ask Paul to fill in as I was out from this world. Last week was stressful, kind of. As you know our old lady couldn't make 27 club and we have been without replacement for few weeks.
Original plan was to deliver reindeer meat on Tuesday and be back at home on Wednesday. As all the meat was not fully packed by butchers, I had move it one day.
So we started Wednesday morning from Kuusamo. We had first longer stop in mid-Finland where I met emergency pusi and test drive her. As she gave nice ride, I decided that she can be part of family now. And I continued ride with her until Thursday evening.
It was tricky ride, we had insane blizzard in South Finland and we had to drive thru that snow storm to deliver reindeer meat. She took everything from me, even last drop. We went thru whole night, I had to stop Thursday morning in 6 am, I just couldn't do anymore and I had to have 2 hours sleep before I was able to continue with her.
I was back home on Thursday evening 9pm. 1600 km and 29 hours with her was good ride. On the way back home we stopped and loaded her with reindeer moss so we have some delicacy for reindeer over winter time. Totally the trip was 37 hours and 2100 km with 2 hours sleep and few hours with my daughters on the way.
Now language lesson, in Finland you pronounce words as they are written and if you speak rally english it comes even closer. So pusi will be closy to pussy. And if it is buz, it will turn easily as busi and then pusi, numbers 211. As 112 is emergency call number... So plate BUZ-211, will turn emergency pussy.
As all cars has to have name and you need to treat them as woman. Emergency pussy is not really name for her, so Satu decided that it will be Buzz, towards infinity and beyond, just like Buzz lightyear. Except this one goes with reindeers and itnis called reindeer bus. Often van (hiace) are called reindeer taxi, as ours is transit and have more space so it will be bus.
For me it will always be emergency pussy as it is first name I came up with her.
As you see no fishing so there is still at least one thing in my head. This Tuesday we had +4 celsius and rain, almost all the snow was gone and we habento gather snow where we can on trails. Winter season starts on Sunday anyway.
