Comes and goes

Comes and goes

Warm weather turned frosty nights and some colder days. Not really winter yet perfect weather so ground would dry and good base for winter to come. Lot of things to be done left and time is running out.

Saturday we finally got big garage tent so we could store machines over winter time. I started to assemble it on Saturday as much I could alone. On Sunday I notice that spot were we originally planned it was too small. Even we measured it several times, well garage would fit but using it would be too difficult. Funny how it effects when you take some trees off, truth will be revealed.

So Sunday went when I moved assembled parts to different spot. Monday we continued, days are so short that anything what's comes extra will take important working hours out. Monday it was broken front loader which was urgent to fix and we didn't get so much done with garage.

Tuesday was still nice weather, some minus celsius. And we got garage standing and ready, expect doors. Daylight was gone so I decided to move machines next morning during daylight.

During night winter decided to come, snowing which continued during day so eventually wd had 10 cm fresh snow and some had to keep machines clean from snow all the time. It took much longer to get them inside as it was a puzzle to solve and some electricity problems with one machine.

We got doors on place and we were happy that winter can come. All other work what we have left could be done even with some snow.

Nature had other thoughts and it started to rain on Wednesday evening, Thursday morning basically all snow was more or less gone. And what was still left was done by heavy rain during the day.  Which turned late afternoon snowing.

In the evening I picked some reindeer from there and there to home. Friday morning we woke up again in middle of winter with almost 10 cm fresh snow and - 6 celsius.

I really hope it will stay as comes and goes is worst possible option for everyone. Have to run now as plenty work to be done before season starts in two weeks.

Have a nice weekend

Mika
