Next week Ashly and I will celebrate Christmas! I know; later than advertised! But she was working at the resort and I had a fishing guest on the lake (that was fun!). And so just after the New Year, we will have our Annual Wet Season Nutloaf Feast while wearing Santa hats.
Talking of Wet Seasons, it’s most certainly wet this year! In the past 24hrs the lake has risen by over a metre and by about 4 metres in the past week. Indeed, water levels are currently at a height I haven’t seen for many years.
Now this can be good and the snakehead have been spawning. But today I couldn’t find a single set, despite fishing a territory where I saw seven sets on Xmas Day!
I’ve no idea why that should be. But if it doesn’t tip it down again tonight, then I’m hopeful that tomorrow will be a good day.
I have some big plans for Sexyloops this year and was taking to a website designer in the US this morning. Now that we are 25 years old, I think it’s time for another change, and to implement some of the great ideas that I had long ago which never materialised.
I’m quite excited about this, and one of the ideas is to plan a full fly fishing glossary of terms, and to use this as a method of navigating the Sexyloops Dungeons. What will we find there is anyone’s guess!
Another excellent idea is “Fishing Quote of the Day!” I’m going to have some fun with that one!!
