Warm weather is still here. Snow and ice circumstances are similar than normally two weeks from now. Good thing is that it is clear weather or at least not raining anything.
We are still hoping to have ice fishing group end of this month. There is small change that it will happen as this week we have had some cold nights around - 7 celsius and even days have been barely zero or just above in sun. Wind has been helping also so spring has been slowing down.
Thursday we had ice fishing group, no catch yet there was one massive strike, when fisherman was not ready at all... no hooking and that's it. It was great afternoon/evening with them anyway.
As we had really warm day just before first cold night came, it meant that snow carries almost anything. Wednesday evening I had nice bike ride just before sunset, I mostly stayed in our private snowmobile trails which we great for biking yet had some adventerous forest routes also. Thursday I had to try if snow carries tractor which it did.. tractor sank only 5 cm or so.
I have been tying also, it gives nice feeling for preparing summer. And now some flies are not Paul's style anymore but little more neatly. On coming weekend we handle reindeers and put gps device and their summer will start. Little earlier than normal spring yet could be gone allready last week if I would have got devices.
Our friends from Germany arrives Friday morning and I hope Rocco has rod with him so next week we can have some casting together and if lucky maybe even some flyfishing as forecast shows warm sunny days to be continue. And hopefully some snooker.
Ice fishing is surely on list as after we have done reindeers on weekend... it is time to slow down and have some relaxing time after winter. And could few drinks also. We still haven't make decission if there will holiday somewhere before summer or not. It pop up now and then on table.
So last rush on coming days and then slowing down hopefully.
