Should be packing

Last year Satu had short vacation with her son in Norway, while I was looking after animals and tracking wolves. Last week when I dipped myself on lake we started to look vacation options.

As told Malaysia was on list yet flight prices were ridiculous, then Germany came up also. Flights were okay but then huge issue came. I got info from friend that I can't fish there unless I haven't done local fishing exam. So I took that as truth even it could be misinformation.

And we ended up to book flights to Slovenia, well not excatly to fly in Slovenia, but it will be our destination. We found good price straight flight from Rovaniemi to Bergamo, Italy. Then we added rental car and would drive to Ljubljana as we have friend living there and guiding. He also has small flat we could rent.

Friday we got email that rental car will need deposit with credit card, even it was allready fully paid. Deposit no problem, credit card is problem. We haven't had one for years as you can use "virtual" money like paypal, gpay etc and even from depit card they can charge afterwards as they do in hotels.

I called to rental company and asked if cash or virtual money would be okay. No it has to be credit card. I found two companies which would be okay with those, and booked car from one and even paid extra to get it out of Italy, just to notice afterwards that Slovenia was on list that you can’t take car.

So we cancelled that one also, and before doing third reservation I called to Italy and asked all this things, yes you can leave deposit with debit card, no you can't go out from Italy. So last Friday we were in situation that we have flight to Italy and we stuck in Italy. They would have also nice fishing yet we had made decission about Slovenia and I didn't want to cancel that as my friend was already working to clean some days for us.

Everything said earlier start to sound our type holiday... Some problems, probably as I didn't check these things as I haven't never pop up with those earlier. I have had rental cars yet there was no issues before so.

Anyway I was feeling like having heart attack soon as feeling fucking hopeless. Then we came up with idea about train or bus. Train would be easiest to travel, yet we had nice experience with bus traveling in Malaysia so we ended up looking buses from Bergamo to Ljubljana, Slovenia. 

There was one close departure from airport so we decided play safe and take later one even it means travelling over night and quite long stop in Venice. Well two flies in one hit, Venice is off the list as we gonna spent few hours on bus station.

Eventually we found all parts and trip to Ljubljana was ready and even back home. We have booked accomandations, rental car for two weeks (we found one from Slovenia without stupid rules). We do need book last night in Ljubljana before coming back yet it can wait. I have booked guide for one day for us, maybe two and then otherwise we will go ourselves.

This week has been watching snooker wc and flytying, some flies to try in Slovenia but mostly for summer here. Bruno, our friend and guide, has all the flies we need there and I can refill hooks, tippets etc from him as he imports fishing stuff to Slovenia, if I understood right.

So our flights leaves on Monday, and we haven't done anything to pack, well I have took suitcase in so.. it is start, is it not? Satu is really looking forward to this and I will also relax as soon we are in plane and bags are in. Of course then I have to worry that fishing gears will come Bergamo and that we really make ourselves to Slovenia and get rental car. After that which would be on Tuesday, I can relax and start enjoy.

We really should be packing already. Satu has to go Oulu tomorrow and there are some paperworks which need to be done before Sunday evening. Diamonds will come from pressure, now I need to run and start to finish some things at farm.

Next FP should come from Slovenia and even with some fishing.
