I have a couple of videos/podcasts to edit. One is a long and interesting discussion with Andy the Redneck, the immaculate Sexyloops rod builder in Texas. And the other is with Nick on the flycasting drills for lesson 2 on the Sexyloops courses.
I’ve also been busy teaching this week, one of my long term students has his CI exam next weekend. So good luck! Rickard and I ran him through a preparation test yesterday.
One of the interesting things about two people examining and asking questions is how one examiner will ask a question and the other examiner will understand the question exactly but the student may not. Mind you I have also heard examiners ask questions and thought to myself WTF? :D
One thing that very much impressed me was Karel’s ability to create sketches during the test. Almost as good as mine actually. The PoD is one of mine and it’s a good one. It shows how usually a fish’s position is normally upsteam of where it rises, and that it is looking is upsteam of that.
Being a casting coach isn’t just about being able to cast pretty loops. Oh no.

I’ve been living on Green Curry for three weeks now. I’m thinking I will cook Green Curry again for next week too. You can’t have too much of a good thing. In fact I may live on Green Curry now for the rest of my life. So if you are planning a visit, hang on to your shorts.
Back with you later in the week with some videos. I have a Malay class now, and today is going to be tough because, tut tut, I didn’t do my homework!
