I am on the run

I am on the run

That is between teaching and fishing back and forth!

These days the German weather is just fantastic and so I have to be close to or in the water as much as possible. In fact I was quite deep in the (still cold) water when swimming behind a carp. That carp was swimming in between a huge group of trees hanging into the water. My only chance was to climb in that tree and make a short roll cast. My strategy then was to allow the carp to run all my line out of the tree and to then swim behind him. But he prefered to stay in the tree instead and offered me a pretty serious battle!

Carp fishing truly gets wet (for me) often. These fish - especially the bigger ones, are clever and know where to run into when getting hooked.

Last weekend we have been teaching fly fishing for coastal Sea trout in Denmark. Not too much Sea trout have been around, but we could help two of our clients to catch their first Sea trout on fly.

All week long I was running back and forth between fly casting lessons and fly fishing pre and post the lessons. Live is great this way - no time to complain anyway!!! ;)

I hope you can make some fishing time as well!? I am not sure if there is anything better in the world!? But I don't think there is!

Have to get wet again. :)

All my best

Bernd

Some pictures as always...
