Here's what part of of our summerholiday was spent doing - tying salmonflies for my friend's birthday while watching Tour de France :-)

The flies are Green Highlander, Hairy Mary, Stoat's Tail and Sunray Shadows. Since this picture, the little family has more than doubled in numbers :-).

EDIT November 22nd 2008: These are atlantic salmonflies - I'd be interested in knowing if anyone find these flies weird? To me, they are perfectly normal :-)
