Here's proof of something that I already knew only too well. NEVER BUY FEATHERS IN BAGS IF YOU CAN GET NECKS OR EVEN WHOLE SKINS!!! I bought three bags of softhackles from Metz - I couldn't get henbacks in these colors. I paid something like 4-5 pounds/7 US pr. bag, and the worst one yielded 13 proper feathers after sorting - that's expensive feathers! The stack of feathers in the background is the garbage - useless feathers and the fluff cleaned from the good ones!
