The world's best flyfishing site.

Picture of the Day
Friday

Interesting afternoon; five fish on stillwater dries including a couple of four pounders. All taken within half a rod length of the bank, fishing around rocks and rock faces. This is a lake well known for its cicadae action and although there were plenty of Cicadae in the surrounding grassland there were very few on the water... today at least. Trout are up however and it's fun to fish loch style shortlining again - especially off the bank. Stillwater dry is my favourite method.
You'll notice Carl also has a fish in this PoD: two and a half pounds. Well done Carl.
