This is a new place I found where I practice. It's a stretch of the Rhine-Rhone canal between 2 locks about 200 metres apart. I can position myself where I don't inadvertently snag the roller skaters, cyclists, walkers and occasional car (usually driven by a carp fisherman) on the towpath. There are carp, zander, roach, rudd etc in this part of the canal. Unfortunately it is not on the way to work so this is Sunday's Spot (after breakfast and fishmail of course).
