Yes, this picture is staged. Sure it was gorgeous as the breeze dropped and the water glassed up beneath a pale sky, but the truth is we were getting eaten alive. It was anything but a relaxing evening fish. If you see an attractive little finger of water amongst the woods and a small sign saying something like "Mosquito Cove", trust the warning and drive on.
