Daddies

Behold, *The* Daddy (and one Adams variant). The body is Spiky possum dubbing ribbed with brown mono, legs are knotted pheasant tail fibres, the hackle is brown and the wings are hackle tips. That's about it.

I find these flies to be much more effective than the standard (drowned) daddy you buy in the shops. The legs are tied in intervals of three, the last of being in front of the hackle. This results in a far more realistic pattern that is both more lifelike when twitched on or just under the surface, and generally has a better silhouette when viewed from underneath.
