Just creaky enough to make you think of one of countless movies where a board breaks through. Most of the feet treading their way across are rockclimbers on their way to the sheer rock faces (an equally obscessed but laid back bunch of folks). A small fire sparked just downstream a couple weeks ago, but a crew of 150+ kept it down and from cresting the ridge.
