The world's best flyfishing site.

Picture of the Day

I picked this up of Mikey Weir last year. It's a great 90 indicator rig; very easy to add, set, change or remove. It's also extremely sensitive with the little tip out the top. I was skeptical, but instantly converted when I first saw the tip shift as the nymphs went tight.

+ Foam ball indicator with a single hole (lightning strike is the mfg here which supplies a half tooth pick for securing)

+ Short length of a durable rubber band (may need some experimenting to find the right size)

1) double the tippet and feed it through the hole
2) slip the rubber band through the loop
3) pull tippet back in to secure
