Fly fishing for pike Germany offers fantastic water - Rügen island that is! Right now I have started my hosted fly fishing trips for October and November.
Fair to say we had a great start - yet catching smaller to medium sized pike in pretty decent numbers. These early autmn pike are offering great fights with some serious runs included. Most of them we catch while using floating lines and fishing really shallow water. For me this is the best pike fishing of the year. Often we see the pike coming from serious distances and then hammering into the fly.
Of course I did test my new wobble flies. These flies indeed work very well on pike as they did on asp either. During the next days the weather will be fine and we will try to find some big pikes!
My days are very busy and pretty long now. Starting early in the morning around 7am, it's midnight now. So I need to have a sleep in order to be back online in the morning. In an average day here I walk 10 to 15Km thru water. That often is running from one client to the next one helping to land a first pike on fly rod or supporting with a quick picture.
Sure there can't be anything better to do for me! I am sharing lots of great fishing moments every day. Fair to work hard to make em all happen though!
I don't know where this comes from, but I can't wait to get up again! Truly excited!!! ;)
