The Kindness Of Strangers Part 3

The Kindness Of Strangers Part 3

One of the less glamorous parts of running a business is having to deal with past due invoices. I had several outstanding, and had been promised payment for the last week or two. When I checked the mail last week, thankfully all the payments were there. However, there' was something else in the mail that I was not expecting!

Layered in with the normal bills and advertisements was a small nondescript gray envelope with a name and return address that I didn't recognize. Usually, when a greeting card of this type shows up it's addressed to the entire family, but this one wasn't....it was only addressed to me. I slit the envelope open to find a fly fishing themed "Thank You" note from a fellow we'll call "D.K."

D.K. evidently is a regular reader of the SexyLoops Front Page and had read about my exploits with Captain Freddy Lynch. While visiting Texas, he decided to book Freddy for a few days, and see what the Laguna Madre had to offer up.

Ironically this "thank you note" didn't contain any details about the fishing. It was simply a gracious gesture to express D.K.'s gratitude for being introduced to Freddy through the SexyLoops Front Page, and how meaningful his time on Freddy's skiff was.

Well D.K. this simple note was incredibly meaningful to me, and I want to express my gratitude to you for sending it. And I feel the same way. Many of the best memories of my life have been forged on the deck of that Hell's Bay skiff. I don't know how many hundreds of hours I've logged in the Laguna with Freddy on the pole. Or how many hundreds of Redfish and Trout we've tormented over the years together. Through those experiences over the last 15 years, he's also become one of my best friends, and I am thrilled that you guys had such a good time while you were down here.

It has never been lost on me how Sexyloops functios as many things, but one of the most important is a platform to bring like minded people together, and experiences like receiving D.K.'s letter make me feel priveledged to be a small part of it.

D.K. if you read this, next time you're in Texas, give me a holler...dinner and adult beverages are on me.

Hope you all are having a great week,

Andy
