Sexyloops - snowing

Last Saturday we were watching reindeer race as I told. It was a nice day even it was windy and some snowing. They couldn’t race on Sunday because weather got so warm that track wasn’t safe anymore. I had short casting practise lesson on Monday.

Week has been extremely beautiful and sunny. We have had +10 celsius on day and just few minus degrees on the night. Snow level has dropped, we still do have 70 cm so summer is not even close yet. Tuesday evening we had tvshooting once again, this time about reindeer sleigh ride and some cooking on fireplace. Wednesday I put reindeer hearts to dry, it is time to make air dried meat. It is one of the best snacks you can have during summer, salty and energy.

Monday I had day off. I decided to train slipped lift pick. I faced two challenge on that. One was weather, it was really heavy wind and there was not really matter which direction you where casting, wind was doing its tricks. Other issue was that I was doing it on yard. Yard was covered with hard snow and ice, it was basicly like skating track.  I’m not sure if it was because that, still I think that it had some effect. When doing pick up, there is no resistant from water on the line.

Like I told I have used slipped lift pick sometimes so I know kind of how to do it. I realize that I need to practise more and timing is also important issue. Now we have heavy snowing going on. Heat wave is gone and ”winter” is coming back. It was not really gone yet. Snow could some help to me. It could give similar effect than water during pick up. I will check that on Monday or Tuesday. Tomorrow I need to do some snow work before we are going to have shopping trip to Rovaniemi.

We will spent two nights over there. It will be short holiday as well but mostly trying to find some stuff for coming May when heading to heat. I have to buy two reels also if I found ones that I want to have.

Have a nice weekend and go fishing
