Summer finally has arrived and many fish are in their best feeding mood. I have been fishing every day.
During the past days I have been fishing 12 to 14 hours per day. Almost enough! ;)
Carp, asp, pike, perch, Zander and more - all fish are very active now. I can switch between several species of fish every day.
Right now I am very hungry. I need a serious breakfast and then I definetly need to see some water - can't wait!
Last week I found a fantastic large (old) Zander. She naturally died of old age. I cut out the ghill plates and checked the yearly rings on them. That magnificent fish was 13 - 14 years old. 102cm. No need to tell that I very much would have liked to meet that fish of a life time just a few weeks earlier at the end of my line!
Ok, fair enough we can't catch them all. That fish obviously was smart and deserved to life his life until the natural end. I burried that fish next the water where he was born. I have no idea how one could ever kill such a fish when catching it!
I believe big fish always should be released no matter what!
Gotta run now!
Great fly fishing to all of you!
All my best
Few pictures this time again...
