No.4 on Sexyloops has an interesting history. You might be bemused to discover lists on Sexyloops going 1,2,3,5. This is not an accident and goes back a considerably long way into our history. <\/span><\/p>\n

You see back in 2002 I took the EFFF Masters test and as part of the warm-up I answered all their official questions on the Sexyloops website. Back then there was no fourth question to which I wrote there is \u201cno question number 4, and this is surprising me too\u201d And then promptly forgot about it. <\/span><\/p>\n

However Tom Jindra, who was part of my MCI examination team in the USA later that year, clearly hadn\u2019t and during that exam he asked me \u201cOn the EFFF Masters Exam what is question no.4\u201d to which I said words to the same effect as \u201cWhat the fuck are you talking about?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Tom sadly is not with us now. He was a really top bloke. We fished together both at his home in New Orleans and in New Zealand. Something he was very proud of (apart from his\u00a0 <\/span>pasta sauce) was to ask me the only question in the MCI exam which I couldn\u2019t answer :)))<\/span><\/p>\n

So since then on Sexyloops there has been no no.4.<\/span><\/p>\n

But then something else happened. When we launched the Hot Torpedo, about 12 years ago, I brought the first six HT rods to Malaysia to sell. No one would buy serial no4, because in Chinese the word for \u201cfour\u201d is pronounced very similarly to the Chinese word for \u201cdeath\u201d. <\/span><\/p>\n

(I\u2019ve just checked with my wife and they both sound like \u201csei\u201d. So there is some handy information for you). <\/span><\/p>\n

And so consequently, I have all the serial no4 HT rods!! I\u2019m about as superstitiious as a wooden post. Ie not all. <\/span><\/p>\n

However I don\u2019t have this one.\u00a0 <\/span>And it\u2019s gone to Mike in North Carolina.\u00a0 <\/span>Enjoy, Mike! It\u2019s a great number!!<\/span><\/p>\n
