My short fishing excursion in Ascension Bay taught me one major thing... I need to practice, practice, practice. I have been a member of Sexyloops now for nearly 10 years, and in that time have had a chance to fish with and be critiqued by some brilliant casters (and anglers). In that time, I learned a lot, but without practice I regress to my bad habits. It was very apparent that my timing was horrible, I was applying the power at the wrong time and my tracking was off. I know what to do, and can when I slow down, but my muscle memory is obviously lacking when I am under pressure. Maybe that bad casting episode was a good eye opener. It is time for me to get off my butt, pull the tape and hoops out, and start casting. The Sexyloops app will help with this... I need to go through the Essentials work through Intermediate casting and really focus on Accuracy and Distance. I should be at a better level than I am, and my inability to cast has noticeably affected my fishing and needs to be remedied. I've never believed that you can learn everything about one thing, and even being an expert truly means that you just have more questions. I certainly don't believe in perfection, but I believe you can strive for it. I will strive for a closer to, nearly, kind of perfect cast... Never stop learning,
