Ronan's report

Keeping with Paul and Bernd's pike theme, today's POD is of some pike flies I've been tying. They are a cross between a Dahlberg Diver and a Barry's Woolhead Baitfish. I think they look like little dogs so I'm calling them Retrievers.

The head is sculpin wool, tail is either Icelandic sheep or nayat hair with a little crystal flash. Body is ice chenille, and the gills/pectorals are raccoon.

I've already had a couple of fish on a chartreuse/red version and have high hopes that these will bring back a few pike too.

As you can see from the POD I've got them in training already. Target recognition.
