Was browsing through the last set of pics from fishing near town and almost all of them had a bridge of some kind, exactly the kind of thing that Matt always blurred out so he wouldn't divulge his secret spots. They're common enough for me that I know all the iron rail bridges were built by the American Bridge Company some time between 1903 and 1905 by their plates. I like these geometries of girders and rivets. Many times, sitting on the rock prominences, I think of the workers who probably sat there eating their lunch too, also mezmerized by the swirling currents below. Along with the iron bridges come the concrete pilings and with any concrete walls around here is the graffiti. Most of it's shitty my name is crap in single line letters. I came upon 'Johnny loves Jenni' once, his hand half down her pants, somehow both of them missing my approach despite the bobbing of my headlight. I passed quickly though. Luckily, haven't come upon the 'bindle stiffs', who have a couple tags around. Occasionally however, some of the more stylized bubble and block letters are captivating enough that I try to decypher it. Last time through, I wondered what they'd say if they were placed by fly fishermen. The trout nuts would probably compete for space with the fish bums, salmonflys vs the hexers, or team nymph vs the drys. Nah, nevermind, hardly a rivalry there. Eric
