Ronan's report

At the end of this week I'm off for a drive down to Stevenson Washington for the 11th Annual Stream Restoration Symposium. I've never been to one of these shin-digs, but it looks like there will be some great information being shared! One thing that the fisheries community does good is share knowledge, see how fish are being managed in other places, and help others troubleshoot issues while at these symposiums and conferences. These things aren't about competition, but rather about ensuring that fisheries are protected around the world.

I've been along the Columbia River before, but the last time it is in the dark and before that I was drunk in the back of a van. I'm pretty sure it will be spectacular. I also know that there are some excellent micro-breweries in that neck of the woods and I plan on sampling many of them.

If there are any Sexyloopers in the area that feel up for a beer, get ahold of me!!
