Just visiting Peter where we talked about the existence of God, various religions, flyfishing, children and Babus, when I come back to discover that Tomtom has eaten all the cheese and shat on the floor. So I killed him with a crucifix of flyrods. Children were watching and I texted Babus afterwards. That's domestication. Normally I wouldn't have minded but I'm giving up cigars tomorrow (apart from one a month, which is the same thing, unless you smoke really slowly). Tom will make good Asp Flies now he's dead. Let's have a minute's silence for Tom...

I also managed to kill a dongler, but that was completely unrelated.

Last week I was handling the FP - I completely smashed it - from Monday to Friday, and on Wednesday I was about to give it all up and travel across the Himalayas via pedal and flyrod power, but common sense and budget have prevailed and I'm back in Hungary, having never left it, casting awesomely mobile white flies, for Asp.

Having travelled for 20 years I'm learning to become less selfish and will tie some of Tomtom into trout flies as well. Maybe his ears. These are this year's flyswap flies.

That's the beauty of cats; they make great all-round all-species flies. They taste superb too - of cheese mainly.
