Ronan's report

Monday August 21st, 2006

Bit of a long weekend, what with dropping Tonio off at SLC and then teaching "Eclipse" to kayak flyfish - erm, that's why the FP is late. Or something like that.

This is a big week for us, Mon-Wed I'm fishing with Davy Wotton who's camped out somewhere on the Madison. We'll be mainly lake fishing - I think - using UK stillwater techniques which work exceptionally well here. Thurs-Sat I'll be in Denver checking out the Fly Fishing Retailer show with Carl.

Of course we'll be covering the show for Sexyloops and in the way that only we can. They may not let us back.

So anyway, Tonio Tonio has returned to France now, we had a great time and I didn't kill him. Often when people join me on an extended trip I end up killing them, but not so Tonio. By the end of the trip his casting and fishing was superb, especially since Sage sorted him out with a couple of the discontinued XPs. If you really don't think the rod makes a difference then you have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. Just ask Tonio.

Here's a little tip for you: when dropping a friend off at the airport, don't stay up until 15 minutes before you are supposed to leave... just stay up.

Hey, we're going to start throwing more videos at you... it's all about to happen...

Have a great week - I may be back tomorrow!

Pic Of Day It's still magnificent...
