Apart from the flyfishing, the flytying, the tackle, the bags, the fish, the rush of setting a hook ina good fish - one of the things I enjoy most about flyfishing is all the experiences of nature, big and small, that comes with the hobby!
Part of the reason I love archaeology as well! Generally I suppose it's just about being outdoors. On a recent survey (prelimenary excavation) this little fellow fell into my trench and of course I immediately whipped out the camera and here he is :-).
The word in the headline - firben - is the Danish name for lizards, and directly translated it means "Four-legs" - we are clever, us vikings, aren't we?
