The world's best flyfishing site.

Picture of the Day

I'm not quite sure what to make of today. Guy and I floated a river where we'd normally clean up. I landed one of around four on the float and Guy picked up three while wading. Very strange; maybe it's the advanced summer conditions.
We spent most of the rest of the day relocating from Te Anau to the the mouth of Mystery River W where we are hoping to imagine some heavy Kahawai action. Or even a Mugwai or two.
Stopping off on one of my usual haunts for a spot of night fishing. Landed four and got bust on a big one while Guy "rested".
I love night fishing and spend much time sploshing around in the dark. Tonight while sploshing around I fell over a fence and broke yet another rod. Christ, I've only had this one for two weeks. I *normally* break one every six months. That makes five for this year. At least this time it was one of mine...
