Floating a picturesque section of a once prolific salmon, steelhead, and bull trout river in central Washington. We were there not to fish, but to to assess existing habitat conditions and collect geomorphic data. In fact, this section of river is closed to angling as a conservation measure. We used our findings to come up with an overall restoration strategy for over 18 miles of river. We were fortunate to see both summer Chinook and sockeye salmon during our time on the water.
