Ok, bit weird. Fished two evenings. First evening kayaked across the lake, saw a few rising in water or around 6-8 feet, taking sedges, buzzers and there was some caenis. But only landed one and lost one. Wind got up and fish went down. I tried drifting with dries but it didn't happen.
So the next evening (last night) I tie up some buzzers and a weighted damsel and fish the banks where I know there are some good browns, to 5 pounds at least. One nice fish but that didn't really happen either.
So I'm thinking I either have to try a different approach (maybe get down a bit) or a different time (I may have to start getting up in the mornings... Bollocks).
