Knot used for joining similar or different breaking strains of monofilament together to make traces etc. The knot can be tied using two, three or four turns; three being most popular. Tied by forming a loop with the long and the short end of two pieces of mono. Pass both ends through the loop the required number of times and pull tight with a jerk.
