The world's best flyfishing site.

Sunglasses are a useful and essential addition to any anglers kit, as even on overcast days they can be an aid to fish spotting. They will need to be of the polarised type, which cuts down glare, and enables the wearer to see objects below the surface. It is advisable to wear some sort of keeper - a string tied to the arms will surffice - as a pair of sunglasses at the bottom of a lake are no help in spotting anything!

Sunglasses are have a greater importance in fly fishing than mere fish spotting, they provide important protection against fast moving flies during mis-timed casts.
