It's been a fun Shootout weekend in Essex. Yes it's mid-winter but the trees are starting to blossom, which is a bit strange, and so the weather is mild to say the least. Although strangely cold at the same time...

Tracy and James brought a bottle of toffee vodka, which I think was a bit of a mistake, because it was very nice and we drank it all, and it may have been responsible for the hangovers the next morning.

There was lots of scientific talks as well, especially with Vince, James and Stoats being present. I just ask questions nowadays. It appears that engineers and physicists have different ways of looking at the world, in the same way that atheists and God botherers do too.

James and I had a ferocious ping-pong championship on Saturday night, and then on Sunday James won the shootout. (Well done James, bloody good, next time we'll just stick to ping pong :)

Thanks to everyone who attended, especially at such short notice and in the middle of winter! And congratulations to Chris for catching his first pike!
