Ronan's report

It's been an excellent weekend of casting with the Spanish about two hours out of Madrid. ADELAM is a new association of instructors and those interested in flycasting. Tonio and Marc are here, as too is Carlos, Aitor, Alejandro, Victor and many others. Set in the Spanish countryside it's actually rather warm. We saw some excellent presentations as well as having a fun social gathering. All the guys and girls are heading back to their respective parts of the country now - all apart from Tonio and I who stoically will be going fishing for week!

The fish here are barbel and carp, as well as some pike. I have to put the record straight slightly, because last time Tonio and I fished for carp he caught 19 and I caught 18, which is obviously a real problem and I've lost many a sleepless night thinking about it. That will teach me for tying experimental unweighted pink damsels.

It's nice to be back in Spain, and hopefully Tonio and I can find some nice Tortugas for company. Great seeing old friends and making new ones. I look forward to seeing them again next Spring when the Scottish Meet descends on Spain!
