In a few weeks I’ll be heading west for some serious action. West as in Wales, not Montana. Ok so it’s not exactly exotic, but it’s attached to England so that’s kind of handy. And they have Welsh cakes too. Now where else could you sell a failed scone and get away with it.

Reckon I’m going to have to make some flies this time too, which is something I’m not exactly happy about. I quit you see. Decided it was a nasty habit and gave it up. I thought well, I don’t drink anymore, I don’t smoke and all the casting groupies are starting to bore me, so why not quit the fluff too?

I would like to say it was the best thing I ever did, but now I’ve got nothing to fish with except some grey dusters and a muddler. Bummer! I would normally ignore this minor problem, but I have lost the skill to tie anything other than nondescript seals fur *things* and I’m not really sure whether the 3rd Bass in Wales would like a size 14 blob. So now I am being forced to dust of my implement of frustration (It’s Swiss and doesn’t work) and get the old fingers warmed up.

Think I might take up drinking again. God knows i'll need it.
